Biography
Ambi Juma Chogo was born on June 1989. Currently she is a Masters student at the Department of psychosocial and psychoanalytical studies pursuing MA childhood studies at the University of Essex in the United Kingdom. She graduated Postgraduate Diploma in Education at Open University of Tanzania and BSc. Family and Consumer studies at Sokoine University of Agriculture.
In 2013 up to 2017, she worked as a Tutor at Njuweni Institute of Tourism and Hotel management teaching Diploma and certificate students before joining Sokoine University of Agriculture where she is currently working as Tutorial Assistant.
She has interests on Child developmental psychology, health and education, her hobby is to engage in activities that promote healthy lifestyle for children and adolescents such as sports and nutrition as well as teaching such as tutoring, mentoring or working with after school program example parental support.
Personal mission statement
I recognize that support children requires multidisciplinary approach. I will collaborate with educator, families, communities and other professional to create a network of support for children and also be an agent of change in creating a world where all children have the opportunity to thrive.

Plans for Future
My long-term goal is to acquire further studies (PhD) in the area of specialization and being a well-recognized researcher, child psychologist, school counselor and educator.
Moreover, my education will have a positive impact on the community or society at large through offering mentoring and coaching services to parents, educators and caregiver to help them better understand and support children’s needs and development.
Giving Credit and Expressing Gratitude
I’m embarking on thanking the Almighty God for all the blessings in my life which I cannot count it one by one. Then I extend my heartfelt to the HEET project in collaboration with the Government of Tanzania and the World Bank for making this Scholarship to be instrumental.
I also extend my sincere thanks to SUA management and SUA-HEET team, Prof. Raphael Chibunda (Vice Chancellor), Prof. Maulid Mwatawala (DVC Academic), Prof. Amandus P Muhairwa (DVC-PF and SUA-HEET Project coordinator), Dr. Wilfred B Mbungu the Deputy Coordinator and Dr. Nyambilila A Amuri, the HEET capacity Building Component Leader and the entire HEET project implementation team for generous support, I have been able to pursue my academic goal.
This Scholarship have a profound impact on my academic journey and my future prospects.
