Biography
My name is Anitha Carlos Ngesi, I got a bachelor of science in Animal Science from Sokoine University of Agriculture in 2016. Now I serve as Tutorial Assistant at Sokoine University of Agriculture, Mizengo Pinda Campus in the field of Animal Science.

Currently I am pursuing mater degree of Tropical Animal Production (MSc. TAP) at Sokoine University of Agriculture, in the Department of Animal, Aquaculture and Range Sciences through HEET scholarship.

My personal mission is to be an animal nutritionist so that I can optimize the health, well-being, and performance of animals through the science of nutrition, fostering a sustainable and symbiotic relationship between animals, humans, and the environment. Rooted in a passion for both scientific exploration and ethical responsibility, my philosophy centers on precision, innovation, and compassion without forgetting my hobbies and talents which are animal care and cooking

Academic Background

HEET Project Scholarship
I have awarded a two years SUA HEET scholarship funded by the World Bank under Tanzania government to pursue MSc. studies in the thematic area of livestock production and animal sciences at Sokoine University of Agriculture. The awarded scholarship covers Tuition fee, stipends, research, books and stationery allowance for two years. Additionally, through the scholarship awarded, I am continuing with coursework smoothly.

The HEET scholarships have impact my academic journey in many ways, ranging from financial relief and reduced debt concerning fee coverage and research conducting costs and improved career prospects. It provide opportunities for academic growth that can shape my future success and contribute to the overall national agenda accomplishment.

From the views above the scholarship will help me to achieve in both academic and personal goals

Plans for Future
My future plan is to be animal nutritionist lecture who will impact knowledge on animal nutrition to students and community such as formulation of balanced diets for various animal species, considering factors such as growth, reproduction, and health. With a focus on sustainable and ethical practices to improve animal diets and reduce environmental impacts such as methane emission as it is known that providing poor quality feeds to animals especially ruminants increase the emission of methane to the atmosphere.

Guidelines will be provided to community and livestock farmers on best practices for animal care, nutrition, and breeding. Helping them adopt sustainable and ethical methods of animal farming that prioritize both the animals’ well-being and the environment. Also, research projects will be conducted to address local animal-related issues, especially in nutrition part.
