Biography
- I am Mr. John A. Chialo, I work for SUA as an Assistant Lecturer in Spanish Language at the Department of language studies and currently Iam on my study leave pursuing MA in Translation at the University of Nairobi.
- My interests, hobbies include reading watching movies and traveling and getting to know different places and people

- Personal mission statement or philosophy
As for my personal mission statement, Coming next month September 2023 I will be on my second and final year of MA in translation studies at the University of Nairobi.
My specialization in the field of translation and interpretation is in Spanish Kiswahili and English languages. I believe that once I complete the studies the experience and studies I will have gained will equipped me with future experience in teaching and will able me in applying translation and interpretation of those languages at a high level.
My area of specialization will enable experts trained at Sokoine University of Agriculture be conversant is disseminating knowledge, skills and technological know-how to intended customers in the areas of agriculture and agribusiness, wildlife conservation, Tourism and climate change through proper teaching of language and communication translation and interpretation for attaining required communicative competencies.
In addition, I am motivated to successfully finish my master’s studies since it is a necessary step to in order to obtaining PhD and climb up the ladder. Moreover, this HEET program has helped me thus far in being on the right direction in attaining this goal in order to address the challenge of shortage of staff with higher qualifications in my department of Language Studies. Iam forever grateful for having the opportunity to be sponsored by HEET and I promise to be one of the best qualified beneficiary of this program by giving back the best that is expected of me as a beneficiary.
